Unique Treatment Approach at Voyage
Voyage’s program caters specifically to young men struggling with substance use disorders, with master’s level clinicians equipped to address co-occurring disorders. Emphasizing outdoor activities, clients are encouraged to challenge themselves and engage in experiences outside their comfort zone. Activities include deep sea fishing, swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. The program operates under the belief that it’s possible to rewire the brain to seek healthy stimulation over substance use.
Recognizing the significance of family involvement in the recovery process, Voyage incorporates a family-focused component. Loved ones spend a week on-site with their family member, engaging in activities designed to examine familial dynamics and communication patterns. Concepts such as enabling and codependency are explored to promote a supportive and healthy family environment conducive to long-term recovery.
