Oak Forest Recovery
This program offers a structured blend of outpatient services and sober living, aiming to provide a supportive environment for individuals battling drug and alcohol addiction. Emphasizing a balance between traditional recovery, innovative therapies, medication, and community connection, it draws heavily from the principles of the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Structured and gender-specific, the program is led by experienced clinicians and medical professionals with personal recovery experiences or specialized expertise in addiction treatment. Tailored for individuals with co-occurring disorders, it focuses on addressing trauma’s impact on patients’ lives. The program comprises four levels of care: Level 0, a two-week phase involving daily counseling sessions, house meetings, AA meetings, sponsorship, and restricted external communication; Level 1, a minimum 30-day period with added group counseling and increased independence; Level 2, a minimum 60-day phase fostering reflection on personal growth; and Level 3, a minimum 90-day stage involving 1-3 hours of daily treatment. Alongside structured sessions, residents engage in outdoor activities, utilize hiking trails, participate in bonfires, and build connections in the game room.
