Lois Bridges
Lois Bridges is a comprehensive eating disorder treatment center offering inpatient, day, and outpatient services for adults and adolescents with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorders. Established in 2010, it adheres to the quality care standards set by the Mental Health Commission of Ireland.
Clients receive care from a multidisciplinary team of medical, mental health, and nutritional professionals. Treatment involves addressing eating disorder behaviors and acquiring new skills through individual and group support. Various therapies such as Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are offered, along with expressive mind and body therapies, art psychotherapy, and mindfulness techniques.
Family involvement is emphasized through psychoeducation programs, and clients benefit from personalized nutritional therapy with individual dieticians. Lois Bridges promotes clients’ engagement in personal hobbies and organizes regular outings around Dublin, including shopping, movies, and dining out. The treatment center, situated in the coastal village of Dublin, provides comfortable accommodations with shared or private rooms, outdoor seating and dining areas, and a garden for relaxation.
