Learn to Live Recovery is a facility dedicated to supporting young men in their journey through recovery, emphasizing the discovery of purpose and positivity in life through community and experiences. Their vision is centered on reintegrating individuals into their communities equipped with enduring recovery tools. They achieve this by offering a personalized program tailored to each client’s requirements. While the facility follows a daily schedule, clients have the freedom to choose their activities. Residents have access to a gym membership and can participate in various outdoor pursuits such as sports, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Seasonal community-building activities like bowling, paintball, movies, and sports events are also organized. The facility conducts three mandatory weekly house meetings: 12-Step meetings, community gatherings, and group activities. Weekly group sessions cover topics like relapse prevention, vocational skills, cooking, budgeting, and educational support.
Located amidst nature in the picturesque area of Hermann, Missouri, the Learn to Live home offers a cabin-like ambiance that fosters warmth and comfort essential for healing. Shared bedrooms and spacious common areas with ample natural light provide residents with a serene view of the surroundings. Residents are expected to maintain their living space by making their beds daily, and chore assignments are overseen by the resident coordinator. Additionally, residents are responsible for purchasing and preparing their meals.
