Huntington Beach Treatment Center

I attended Huntington Beach Recovery in August 2022 and looking back at my experience, it was the seed that sprouted my recovery. I’m just over 9 months sober and, for someone like me, this was unimaginable 9 months ago. For those of us that deal with addiction, there is no magic pill to cure us—it’s a lifelong journey that starts with a willingness to accept help and practice a new way of life.

I needed help in the worst way and 30 days in rehab was only the beginning of my journey. As much as I didn’t want to accept it, recovery is a lifelong journey—HBRC helped me understand this and provided me with tools to build a solid foundation and to continue to stay sober after I left the safety of their rehab center. Whether it was one on one counseling, group therapy, AA/NA meetings, or just enjoying a beach outing with my fellow patients (some of whom are now lifelong friends), HBRC had my back the entire way. Once my time was up, they also hooked me up with another recovery center that is less intensive and helped ease my transition back into “normal” life.

If you need help, I highly recommend HBRC; the staff and owners have all sat where you are sitting now. They know your struggle and they care (they still follow up with me to this day). For anyone reading this, know that there is a whole community of people like you who are living their dreams. For me, HBRC set me up to succeed and I hope you give it a shot.

Addiction is a disease that doesn’t only affect one person. A family member of mine has been struggling with this disease for well over a decade, ever since being a teenager. We all felt like giving up until they begged us to give them one more chance. They agreed to go to Huntington Beach Recovery Center for a one last ditch effort at recovery. I’m not exaggerating when I say this place gave us HOPE! The light has finally returned to my family member’s eyes. I can’t recommend Huntington Beach Recovery center enough.

I attended the recovery house in July of 2022. The staff, outside meetings, And everyone else involved helped save my life. I have a freedom now that I never thought I would have again. Once I was lost but now I am slowly finding myself, my REAL self once again. Thank you too everyone who has been involved. I would recommend the facility, staff, and the program to anyone in need of recovery!

Amazing Center, and program. First place I have been where I truthfully felt cared for and safe. I want to give a special Thank you to the Clinical Director, Program Director, and tech staff for always having an open ear free of judgement. Highly recommend for individuals who need intimate care the size of the program makes it easy to let loose and be honest.

My stay here was 34 days for depression, compulsive overeating, drugs, and alcohol. The staff here were tremendously helpful and supportive in my recovery of these addictions. I was able express my real emotions and feelings without judgement and full unconditional love and support. This place has been a true blessing. Before coming here, I believed I would never be able to live my life without my addictions, but after 34 days, I now know and believe I can live a full and happy life without these addictions anymore. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone looking for a treatment center for their addictions. Once again, this place was a true blessing from my higher power and I’m so thankful for being here.

Huntington Beach Recovery Center gave me the best rehabilitation i could’ve asked for. Groups included yoga, beach days, AA meetings and so much more. The house is clean and well kept, stocked with food, and the staff has been absolutely incredible. They’ve gotten me feeling like myself again and for that i am forever grateful.

I had an amazing experience here and I think that this is a great place to detox and begin your journey. Lynda, the clinical director, is very smart and very experienced on how to deal with a wide range of issues that I had. If you’re serious about getting sober then this is the place to go.

The staff and facility of HBRC are all fantastic. The director Lynda is very caring and supportive. The house size is small and intimate, which makes it less stressful for a person coming into recovery for the 1st time, such as myself! Steven, the initial intake person is also phenomenal, very caring and his recovery story is very inspirational.

I would recommend HBRC to any 1st timers that are serious about their recovery and willing to put in the work. As they say in AA it works if you work it!!!
