This Tucson-based treatment center specializes in providing a 30-day intensive outpatient program designed to address a range of challenges. Their programs cater to individuals grappling with severe anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Embracing a treatment philosophy that melds Eastern principles with evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement therapy (EMDR), and their own innovative Inner Twin Therapy.

Who Is It For?

The programs are tailored for individuals experiencing heightened levels of anxiety, depression, or coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Specifically aimed at those contending with substance use disorders or a history of chronic relapse, this program is ideal for those lacking the financial means for inpatient treatment or unable to leave their families for extended periods. Sessions encompass a mix of group and individual therapy sessions. Upon completion of the 12 sessions in the intensive outpatient program (IOP), clients transition to Zen’s aftercare program, which involves two sessions per month. Additionally, clients have the option to participate in deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS), which can effectively alleviate depressive symptoms for many individuals.

Eastern Philosophy in Treatment

Zen’s treatment approach posits that the root cause of suffering stems from negative thoughts originating from the ego. Clients at Zen learn to reconnect with and operate from their authentic self, transcending the limitations of the ego. They acquire coping skills such as meditation and mindfulness, techniques for managing cravings and negative thoughts, and strategies for expressing and setting boundaries.
