Clients undergo an initial assessment to identify their core strengths and challenges. Yellowbrick offers a diverse array of programs, including a Trauma Recovery Program, a Rewards Alternative Program, and a Soma-Self program. The Rewards Alternative Program IOP features educational, experiential, and interpersonal groups aimed at fostering motivation, self-vitalization, and rewarding experiences through alternatives to substance use and compulsive behaviors. The Soma-Self IOP provides similar groups tailored to individuals with troubled relationships with their bodies, including those with eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, trauma history, illness or injury, gender dysphoria, etc. Supported meals are available daily at both The Residence and the Consultation & Treatment Center.
Located in Evanston, Illinois, on Chicago’s North Shore, Yellowbrick occupies a four-story apartment building comprising three three-bedroom apartments and a two-bedroom garden apartment accommodating up to 15 residents during treatment. Additional community spaces are provided for group activities and leisure. Yellowbrick aims to create a safe, empowering, and challenging environment where emerging adults can develop the skills and competencies needed to effectively manage their lives.
