Vin Baker Recovery
Vin Baker, a four-time NBA All-Star gold medalist, opened this recovery center to help people battling substance use disorders by offering flexible and effective outpatient treatment options. Programs are tailored to meet each patient’s specific needs, aiming for self-reliance and lasting sobriety. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for those dealing with opioid or alcohol use disorders, but clients must agree to outpatient counseling to receive MAT. Besides outpatient counseling, there’s an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for individuals needing more structured treatment. Peer support services are also available, with workers helping clients by sharing resources, building skills, fostering community, leading recovery groups, offering mentorship, and setting goals. Vin Baker even works with local jails and correctional facilities to start services for incarcerated individuals and ensure they get continued care.
