A 12-Step Program

Voted in the top 1% of drug addiction treatment centers by Newsweek and Statistica, Ventura Recovery Center has offered quality substance misuse and dual diagnosis treatment since 1989. With the mentality that their clients are not patients, but rather family, Ventura Recovery’s approach encompasses one’s physical, emotional, and psychological health. They provide medically supervised detox, a residential rehab program, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). They have also begun offering online Telehealth treatment that is convenient for those with a different schedule than their regular clients. They focus on the 12-Step method with AA and NA meetings, and they also offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).

A Staff That Understands

Many of Ventura Recovery Center’s staff are in recovery themselves, adding a personal and understanding perspective to their client care. The center additionally places emphasis on the term “residential,” as they want their clients to feel at home during treatment, and not like they’re in a hospital. Their beautiful home in Thousand Oaks, California, has an outdoor pool, chef-prepared meals, and spacious, comfortable rooms.
