Catholic-Based Program
Petty Creek Ranch offers a faith-based behavioral modification and drug misuse treatment facility for at-risk teenage boys aged 12 to 18. Located in Alberton, Montana, it is operated by a Catholic family with a mission to help young people regain control of their lives. Petty Creek provides a therapeutic environment for teen boys to rebuild themselves, free from social or sexual distractions, harmful peer pressure, and substance use.
Academic and Vocational Support
At Petty Creek Ranch, clients receive traditional addiction treatment alongside academic and vocational/technical education, intensive family counseling, recovery coaching, and alternative therapies such as equine-assisted and action-based therapy. Their 12-step program emphasizes mindfulness, emotional control, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Additionally, clients can enjoy outdoor recreational activities like rafting, skiing, camping, and horseback riding, enhancing their Montana lifestyle experience.
Recreational Therapies
Petty Creek Ranch addresses various issues including academic underachievement, poor social skills, attention-deficit disorder, sibling rivalry, bullying, divorce response, attachment problems, and sexual deviance/promiscuity. They also provide trauma-focused treatment like EMDR for individuals dealing with abuse or post-traumatic stress disorder. Petty Creek is accredited by the Joint Commission and does not accept insurance.
