Situated in the Hampton Roads area, this treatment center offers two levels of care: partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for adolescents and adults respectively. Additionally, they offer a virtual IOP in the evenings from 4-7pm for clients in Virginia. The PHP functions as a preventive measure against hospitalization and a transition from hospitalization or residential treatment, providing comprehensive care for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. The IOP is designed for clients experiencing symptom escalation or stagnation in their current therapy or outpatient treatment, offering 3 hours of treatment a day, 3-5 days a week.
The clinical team specializes in anxiety, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and co-occurring neurodivergent diagnoses. They utilize a combination of evidence-based and alternative therapies to address the holistic needs of each individual. Common therapeutic modalities include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), experiential therapies, mindfulness, yoga, nutrition therapy, and exposure and response prevention (ERP). Additionally, they offer the support of a therapy dog in their Norfolk office.
