MARR
Founded in 1975, MARR Addiction Treatment Centers is a private organization offering long-term residential addiction treatment for men and women. They provide high-quality, gender-specific rehab programs aimed at lasting recovery. MARR has two residential homes in Georgia: one in Lawrenceville for women and one in Atlanta for men. MARR helps clients overcome drug and alcohol addictions through both individual and group therapy. Individual therapies include psychiatric/clinical evaluations, addiction education, and relapse prevention. Group therapies encompass cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family dynamics, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), yoga, and spiritual guidance. MARR emphasizes community in recovery, offering residential activities and groups focused on work/life balance and relationships. They also have a special disordered eating program featuring sessions with a registered dietician, meal groups, mindful eating education, and 12-Step meetings for eating disorder recovery.
MARR’s treatment consists of multiple phases for both men and women. Phase 1 lasts 6 weeks, Phase 2 is 8 weeks, and Phase 3 extends to 12 weeks or more. Facilities include volleyball and basketball courts, with outings to local shops and hiking trips. Accommodations are shared and gender-specific. MARR follows a COVID-19 protocol requiring clients to be tested for antibodies before admission.
