At Istana, clients aren’t expected to conform to predetermined programs or attend group therapy. Instead, each treatment plan is tailored to meet the unique needs and recovery goals of the individual. An elite team of international specialists provides personalized attention, with some specialists having personal experience relevant to the client’s issues.
Anything necessary for a client’s recovery can be integrated into their program. Complementary therapies are available to soothe and accelerate the detox process and promote overall well-being. Clients simply need to communicate their treatment interests, and the Istana team will organize the appropriate resources. Istana prioritizes making clients feel safe, understood, and expertly cared for throughout their stay, fostering daily momentum and progress by addressing underlying issues driving distress and subsequent behaviors. **PA & Concierge Services**
Confidentiality is paramount for Istana’s clients, many of whom have ongoing pressing business and family issues that require attention. Each client is assigned a rotating team of three concierge/personal assistants (PAs), one of whom is always available day and night. These professionals discreetly manage external concerns, acting as proxy PAs and liaising with executive assistants (EAs) and family members as needed. They are experienced in working with security teams, agents, business managers, board members, and EAs, all bound by internationally applicable confidentiality agreements.

Clients are met at the airport by a senior member of the Istana team and fast-tracked through immigration/customs arrangements. After arriving at their private villa, clients have time to decompress and acclimatize to their surroundings. The medical team conducts observations, provides immediate treatment, medication, and ongoing care, including 24-hour nursing if required. The Director of Client Services oversees all aspects of coordinating the team and program, including medical screens and nutrient deficiency tests.
**Detoxification (if required)**
Istana aims to support clients through detoxification as comfortably as possible. Preliminary clinical assessments of each client’s detox requirements are conducted before their arrival. On arrival, the detox medical team meets the client at the villa for a precise assessment and provides immediate treatment and ongoing support. Clients have access to 24/7 medical care, daily doctor visits, and live-in nursing if necessary. In addition to traditional medical detox support, various healing therapies are available, such as relaxation techniques, massages, meditation, acupuncture, restorative yoga, and gentle personal training, all working together to improve physical well-being and peace of mind. Istana also analyzes each client’s nutritional requirements and implements a plan that includes nutritional supplements and a healthy diet curated by their personal chef to suit their taste and preferences.
**Psychology and Psychotherapy**
Psychotherapy sessions take place in the client’s villa and are informally set. The techniques utilized by their psychologist are tailored to each client’s needs. Istana blends advanced medicine, progressive psychotherapy, and evidence-based Eastern practices. Clients typically have 3-4 psychology sessions per week, though they ultimately receive as many as needed. During these sessions, clients explore and resolve underlying issues, learn healthy stress management techniques, and discard unhealthy coping mechanisms. With the help of their psychologist, clients set ambitious yet attainable life goals that benefit their well-being. Additionally, clients practice coping skills to manage triggers and prevent recurrence or relapse.
