The Plymouth House follows a 12-Step approach to treatment, supported by on-site psychiatrists, primary therapists, and physicians. They address addiction alongside mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Collaborating with local detox centers, they facilitate referrals and transitions for clients. Treatment begins at their private facility, nestled in the White Mountains’ foothills, offering 60 acres of serene landscapes for structured therapy days. The Plymouth House now accepts most major insurance providers, enhancing accessibility to treatment.
Comprehensive and Evidence-Based Care
The Plymouth House provides a restorative environment with gender-specific housing, natural surroundings, and staff who have lived experiences with addiction. Their clinical team offers dual-diagnosis treatment using medication and evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing. Treatment progresses through the 12 Steps in three phases: residential treatment (Steps 1-3), Day Treatment (Steps 4 and 5), and extended care programs (Steps 6-12).
Involvement of Families
Regular family therapy sessions foster connections between clients and their loved ones throughout their journey at The Plymouth House. Families are encouraged to visit and participate in treatment, with monthly on-site family workshops offered from April to October. Relapse prevention strategies extend to both clients and their families.
Holistic Approach to Healing
The Plymouth House integrates holistic therapies such as yoga, meditation, and fitness programs in on-site studios. Their expansive property offers opportunities for peaceful walks and recreational activities like horseshoes. Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared by on-site chefs, complemented by life skills groups assisting clients with vocational, legal, and academic pursuits. The Plymouth House facilitates car transports for local clients and assists those from out of state with travel arrangements.
