I started my Mental Health road to recovery many years ago. I have experienced a handful of different institutions and places. I also struggled with substance abuse, body image issues, self love, ptsd. I did not get it right the first time. I was not and “easy case,”I didn’t even get it right the second time. I urge you if you need help this place is amazing. They never turned their back on me and have been there for me accepting me with open arms and no judgement every step of the way. Please don’t let the appearance of luxury discourage you from calling them I am not financially wealthy. The Wave of Clearwater truly cares about their clients. They have put their heart and soul into creating a program that works for women. Thanks to the team there I am now alive and not just existing.

The loss of my Adult Son, had me in the deepest depression I had ever felt in my life. When I called and spoke with the staff I knew it was the place for me. I was a residential patient for 30 days. My therapist was wonderful and it was as if God sent us two together. The ENTIRE staff of The Wave were genuinely caring and loving. I learned so much there about the pain of grief and can say that I left that pain there due to the help I recieved. This facility puts more than 100% of what they have to see to it that everyone there is comfortable and are supportive of any needs we have. I found the food there to be good and also professionaly prepared. Mar, Lauren, Tresha, Nesha, Teesha and Moe (I do not remember all of the staff’s names) were each wonderful and would do what they could do to help, and if they didn’t have an answer they found it promptly. Losing my Son was the single most difficult thing I have ever gone through and I do not think there was another place for me to go to work through a lot of the issues I needed to face. Thank you to each of you for showing me you sincerely cared. The Director of the Clearwater location, Kathy put forth everything she had to see to it that everyone’s needs were met.

Everyone that worked at the wave was very professional. It was very clean, warm, and inviting. I learned so much about myself and my underlying issues that were creating problems in my own life! I left with a new outlook on my life and how to cope with every day struggles more efficiently! Thank you to The Wave and their wonderful staff! A++++++

I began my journey on June 1st, 2023 and it just recently came to an end on September 29th, 2023. I was there for just under four months and it was definitely a journey! My experience from start to finish was incredible.

Once I began my admission process, I was welcomed with open arms by Kristin and Debbie, the ones who work in admissions. They were always available for any questions I had, they helped to talk me through some doubts I was having, they worked out a payment plan for me and they were simply wonderful. The amount of support I felt from them is so different from past experiences at other places. They truly made me feel like I was in good hands and I could feel safe there.

Coming back to The Wave at Edgewater for a tune up made such a big difference in the quality of my life. I was able to identify hobbies I truly enjoy and apply them to my daily living, I had intensive one on one cognitive behavioral therapy with a wonderfully qualified therapist Carola and very engaging and interactive groups with Jenna, Jill and Leah. And most of all Patricia and Marck are an amazing dynamic duo. Patricia is a go getter, she truly enjoys what she does and really cares for the quality of the clients coming and going. She’s absolutely 110% dedicated to making us women feel wanted and welcome. She’s made such a positive and wonderful impact on my life. As for the most talented Chef Marck, I’ve had the pleasure in meeting, his cooking is phenomenal and honestly now every time I go eat in public I always catch myself thinking to myself “Oh Marck’s cooking is way better than this” He’s in his element when he’s in his kitchen and the food he prepares and serves is evidence of his true God given skills. God bless this facility and the services The Wave International has to offer.

My daughter was admitted to the wave in Oct and just finished her out patient program. As a family want to say than you to all of the amazing staff that helped her and us through the entire process. The therapist have been crutial to helping guide us with the treatment plans.we have learned a lot about her diagnosis and how we can as a family help her continue the work.they helped us to better understand what she was feeling and how much we could learn in helping. I am forever grateful for the Wave.

My sister left the wave two weeks ago when she completed the program and she has been doing so good. We have been able to talk about things related to our parents and childhood that she was never able to open up about before and would cause her to self sabotage. She has made me want to get help to deal with my childhood also. I don’t know how but I feel like I have my sister back. Thank you guys please let me know if you help men also.

Honestly the wave became my second home. I felt I was really heard and seen there for the first time in my life. As mental health facilities go I believe it is A tier. Could there be some better hygiene factors? Sure. But it is LEAGUES above other facilities in the area and I would feel more than comfortable coming for another stay if needed. Thank you Wave!!

My mother was struggling with divorce and retirement. My sister and I looked everywhere and we were about to give up. The wave was amazing from the first phone call with Kristin in admissions to weekly updates. They helped us with insurance and got us the best cost. Most importantly our mom has her smile back. She is still working on the things she learned and we just had the best holiday we have had as a family in a long time. I would recommend the wave to anyone looking for help for a loved one.

I did residential treatment at The Wave and then stepped down to PHP and IOP. My experience in residential was incredible.

From daily groups to outings to lifelong friendships, The Wave truly had it all. Not every day was good there but every day I could find purpose in being there. I also loved the emotional support dogs some of the therapists had/residents. Some of the outings we went on included a dolphin boat ride and to the aquarium.
