The Next Door started when women at First Baptist Church Nashville wanted to use an empty building. They saw that many women in the neighborhood needed a place to stay. So, they made The Next Door to help out. Today, it helps women with things like **detox**, residential care, and outpatient programs. The goal is to support women, including pregnant ones, dealing with addiction, mental health problems, trauma, and jail time. The program uses a **faith-based** method with proven therapy, prayer, and meditation. Women get individual therapy, group sessions, life skills training, case management, Rock to Recovery therapy, family counseling, and tools to avoid relapse.
